we’re enjoying a little down time…. for the fun of it here’s a photo from a recent trip to Kyoto. it makes me smile because I remember my girlfriend, Angela, and I were chasing these Maiko (apprentice Geisha) around like crazed paparazzi stalkers. ah, good times.maikoinkyoto

I wanted to quickly share some photos from a Hong Kong trip before the next client sneak peak. Such a beautiful, amazing city with a surprising British influence that definitely worked in our favor. The weather was less than perfect the whole time, so while I didn’t get to photograph the whole skyline at once I was able to focus in on the everyday details of Hong Kong. Here are just a few:

I’d look down in the grass and spot a 4-leaf clover in a matter of seconds, and then…it was ON. The hunt. David and I would frantically rifle through all the clover until-AH HA!-another one was found. Then another. And another. It started when we were dating…teenagers, and the competition has continued through the years. If you walk into our house right now you will see a vase full of four and five leaf clovers sitting on the counter. That’s how cool we are. Don’t hate. Urban legend in the Mills family states that my mother-in-law has found a nine leaf clover and (here’s the clencher) a THIRTEEN leaf clover. Waahhhh? I know what you’re thinking, but the woman does not lie. It must run in the family.

Because a post is naked without a photo here’s an overcast day + neighbor’s unmowed yard = perfect light & color for blue eyes. ♥
