Product Spotlight | Gallery-Wrapped Canvas
October 26, 2009A large portion of my time is spent not taking photographs, but assisting my clients on how to best display their session portraits. By far, the most popular product I carry for large wall displays is gallery-wrapped canvas (applause, please). I loooooooooove these. Portraits become fine art when printed on premium canvas, and the best feature–they come ready to hang. There’s no need to invest in custom framing!
In comes Karen, a recent client and new mommy. She had two images she wanted in canvas but wasn’t sure how to display them together since one was horizontal and one was vertical. Now I’m no interior designer, but I know photos. Part of what you receive from Kerry Mills Photography is the inspiring ideas I have for how to display your session portraits. Even before we meet up for the session we’ve talked about how you envision your portraits on a wall. So, Karen gave me her two desired images and said “you pick it.” After choosing two sizes that compliment each other I then showed her a sample of how they would look hung together on a wall (below). {Psssttt–listen up clients–I can even do this with a wall photo from your own home! Are your wheels turning now?! } It makes a world of difference seeing how yummy your images will look on a wall before ordering.
Karen’s canvases came in over the weekend, and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. Simply stunning. Thank you, Karen for trusting me and letting me share your story. Your growing family is just beautiful. I can’t wait to see these on your wall. =)

One of my favorites from earlier this year~

Megan looks soooo J.Crew, doesn’t she?! I love it!
Chris & Megan are both dentists in the Navy (hence “miles of smiles”=); it took some convincing ’til Chris finally showed off his light-hearted side.
One of my favorites from the day. Look at how Megan gazes at Chris all dreamy eyed! =)
